Networking

We are excited to offer a platform for networking. We like to say think of it as a virtual "Conference Lobby". The silver lining of everything being remote is that one has new avenues to make connections they would have never made.
Hence we will be using a platform called discord for this. Simply introduce yourself in the introduction channel, we hope to also incorporate live chats during the part of the event that state networking. We hope we can help in your quest to meet new people in the field of public health.
You can also connect with us on Facebook Instagram and Twitter.

The Hashtag for the event is #FacesofAfrica2021

African Public Health Network

The African Public Health Network, a student-run organization has been in existence since 1991 and our mandate is to serve as a forum for discussion, promotion, and collaboration on public health, advocacy, and socioeconomic issues relating to the African continent. Our annual Faces of Africa event provides a platform for promoting dialogue, discourse on practical solutions for present-day issues. In the past, we have had the privilege of hosting world-renowned Nigerian author Chimamanda Adichie, and last year we had Her Excellency President Sirleaf and many other distinguished guests as speakers. The event draws at least 100 participants each year and we expect more given the virtual offering this year.
